The Schengen Information System

The Austrian data protection commission is the supervisory authority according to Article 114 of the Convention implementing the Schengen agreement. The data protection commission monitors the national section of the Schengen Information System (N.SIS), but the Austrian federal ministry of the interior actually runs the Austrian part of the N.SIS.
